Worthy of Pure Gold (Exodus 37)

Exodus 37:1–2 1 And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it: 2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

All the furniture of the tabernacle, apart from the laver and brazen altar in the courtyard, were fashioned from pure gold. The value and beauty of these pieces must have been priceless. They remind me of the crown jewels here in London.

These items are made of the best and most beautiful materials to show the value and importance of the Person for whom they were made. God is such a great God. He deserves the best that we have and are. Nothing should be held back from Him. He is worthy of more than pure gold. He deserves our lives, and may we allow Him to fashion our lives for Him and His glory.
