Remember This Day (Exodus 13)

Exodus 13:3 3 And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

The Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the sanctifying of the firstborn of all animals and people to the Lord were all symbolic reminders of what God did for Israel. He wanted them to remember that He brought them out of Egyptian with great power and that He delivered them from bondage and brought them into the land of milk and honey.

What God did for Israel was worth remembering for ever. And what God has done for us is worth remembering for ever. The greatest act of God’s power and grace in our lives was the cross of Jesus Christ. Every time we baptise and every time we observe the Lord’s Supper, we are remembering the cross of Christ. Not only should we remember the cross, but we should remember all the amazing things that God does for us day in and day out. Father, thank You, thank You, thank You, for all You are and all You have done for me!

Not only should we remember the cross, but we should remember all the amazing things that God does for us day in and day out. May we say, thank you, Father, for all You are and have done for us!
