Prepared for Victory (Numbers 10)

Numbers 10:9 And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

Israel was now organised and ready to march and to take on whatever enemies might face them. There were several months of instruction and preparation for them to be ready to transition from freed slaves to a victorious army.

Similarly, when God saves us from sin and calls us out of the world, He then gives us His Word to equip us and prepare us to be victorious soldiers for Him. The way we make this transition is by continually looking to the Lord and following His instructions carefully.

May God help us to obey and listen to Him, our Lord, and commanding officer. If we do what He teaches in His Word, we will be ready for battle.

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
