He Is Risen, As He Said – Matt 28
“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” — Matthew 28:6
Despite the rejection, opposition, and eventual crucifixion of Jesus, His coming ends in victory as we read, “He is risen, as He said!”
The joy of the newborn King fades and the story seems to unravel, as the people and the leaders all cry for His death. This is no greater tragedy and no more unjust death.
Yet, Jesus will still win. Though He laid His life down, He took it back again. He is alive, just as He said He would be after He died. He was in control all along, and nothing can stop Him or His plans!
His resurrection confirms everything He said and did. His resurrection gives all who trust in Him hope. His resurrection is final proof that He is the Christ.
So, let us go and teach all nations about Him. Let us baptise them and teach they all that He has commanded us. The world needs to know about our Lord!
