Not Completely Alone – Ps 142

In trouble. Alone. Overwhelmed. Trapped. Humbled. This was David’s situation when he prayed the words of Psalm 142.

Yet, he was not without help and not completely alone. The Lord was there. The Lord heard him. The Lord knew His path. The Lord was His refuge and portion. The Lord would bring Him out and deal bountifully with Him.

When you find yourself at the end of your rope, you can still call upon the Lord. He is there. He will save those who are lost. He will comfort those who are His.

Even if we have nothing else, we have the Lord. His our refuge and our portion. And sometimes, it takes great loss to make us appreciate just how wonderful it is to know and have the Lord!
