Special Thanks to Some Amazing Volunteers

In the last few days, we have several volunteers leave us, and I just wanted to take a moment to say “Thank You” to each of them.

Tiffany Kahler – Student Intern (10 weeks)

Teri, Tiffany, and Lee

We have known Tiffany and her family for a long time.  Her father was the youth pastor at Carrollton Baptist Temple when we were members there.  Tiffany is a student at Crown College, and she came over to do her internship with us.  Tiffany was a huge blessing, helping out in so many ways with the music programme, the children’s programme, teen camp, secretarial tasks, and outreach.  We will definitely miss her, and we appreciate so much her willingness to take ten weeks out of her life to invest in the ministry here.

Andrew Boreland & Jonathan Moffit – Short-Term Volunteers (9 days)

Andrew and Jonathan are both originally from Ballyclare, Northern Ireland.  Andrew’s father, Stephen Boreland, was the pastor there at Ballyclare Baptist Church for many years and now is the pastor of a church in Sunderland.  Both young men were looking for a place to do evangelism this summer, so they came to help us.  They did a great job working with the children’s programme and helping us with evangelism.  It was a real blessing to have them.

Maranatha Baptist Bible College Mission Team – Short-Term Volunteers (10 days)

The Maranatha team with our family, Tiffany, Lee, and Jonathan

Two years ago a group of volunteers from Maranatha Baptist Bible College came to visit and help us with various projects at the church.  The group was able to come back again this year led by Josh and Annie Moore, who were on the first mission team.  The eight young people were a huge help.  We took them on various education/sight-seeing tours in the mornings, then did outreach in the afternoon, followed by our gospel meetings and children’s programme in the evenings.  They exhibited such a servant’s heart and were willing to pitch in wherever needed.  They were a special blessing teaching the children, sharing testimonies, and singing in the services.  I want to say a big “Thanks” to them.  Please pray for them as they are now in the South of Ireland for about ten days helping out.
