Christmas Party

Today was the Christmas Party in St. Eithne’s Park in Hazelbank.  We had a really wonderful time, and were able to meet people from about 15 different families.  In total, 29 children and 6 adults came.  Carmel, the caretaker of the common room owned by Habinteg Housing Association, hosted our party and helped us advertise the party.  She is a very nice lady and was very supportive of the event.

We started the party with a few Christmas games and activities.  Then, we had some songs and a gospel lesson about Christmas and the real story behind it all.  Following the lesson, we gave them all a snack, broke a piñata, gave away some hampers and prizes, and then gave away a prize to every child.

It was a very fun time, and we so enjoyed being able to have the party.  I am so proud of every person in our church who participated from donating goods, designing leaflets, and  giving money to making the piñata and watching children so others could go.  This was a win for everyone, and I want to thank all of you for your help.

The look on the faces of the people who came today make it all worth it!  Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas.  We look forward to how God will open other doors in that area in the future!
