Travis and Teri are sent out of Vision Baptist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA, and through Vision Baptist Missions, Inc. in Dawsonville, Georgia. They have three children, Grant, Darci, and Cali.
Since 2021, Travis has served as the General Director of Vision Baptist Missions, Inc., a mission agency that partners with local churches to train and send missionaries worldwide. From 2002 to 2022, Travis and Teri served as church-planting missionaries to the United Kingdom, where they were privileged to start three churches – in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland, as well as London and Colchester, England.
As General Director of Vision Baptist Missions, Travis & Teri are privileged to serve VBM’s team of about 100 missionaries located in over 20 different countries. They also help lead the Vision School of Missions, a bachelor’s degree missions program, and VBM’s Missions Internship programs.
Throughout the year, the Snodes teach in the Vision School of Missions, oversee the daily operations of Vision Baptist Missions, visit missionaries on the field, and help churches with missions conferences and special missions services.
Travis’s Testimony
I was privileged to grow up in a Christian home, with parents who took me to church regularly and taught me the Word of God. Through the preaching of God’s Word at our church, God showed me that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. Following a particularly convicting message, my mother showed me from the Bible what Christ did for me on the cross. That night, I believed on Jesus Christ, and my life was greatly changed. God put new desires in my heart to live for Him.
As I read my Bible, God began dealing with me about living for Him. When I was nine years old, our church held a missions conference where missionaries shared about the needs around the world. In one of the services, I became aware of a real desire to be a missionary, so I publicly let my church know about the desire God had put in my heart.
Over the next few years, that desire stayed with me, and I was able to get more involved in our church – serving, helping, and teaching. I went to Bible college to get further training. When I finished Bible college, my church affirmed God’s call on my life by ordaining me and sending me out as a missionary.
Shortly after Teri and I were married in 2022, we began deputation and left for the field in 2004. The first nine years of our ministry were spent in Northern Ireland, assisting with a church plant in Limavady and planting a new church in the city of Derry/Londonderry. After that church was turned over to an Irish pastor, the Lord led us to London, England in 2013. From 2013 until 2022, we served in southeast England, planting a church in Bromley, London, and another church in Colchester, Essex.
Teri’s Testimony
I grew up in a Christian home. Both of my parents got saved in their teens from non- Christian backgrounds. They both attended Hyles Anderson College and got hired by a large church south of Atlanta. So I grew up as a staff kid in a large ministry.
By the time I was 4, I’m sure I had heard the gospel hundreds of times. So it was very natural for me to place my faith in Christ at a young age. I had no problem acknowledging my sin and asking God to forgive me. I also attended a thriving Christian school where I was taught the Bible every day by godly teachers and encouraged to give my life in service to the Lord.
When I was 16, my youth group attended a youth conference where I surrendered to serve God for the rest of my life. When Travis proposed to me several years later, it was not a difficult decision to agree to be a missionary. I have never regretted giving my life to the Lord.
Ministry Focus
Our ministry is all about helping local churches train and send missionaries worldwide.
We help local churches do the following:
- Send missionaries to the field through overseeing the work of Vision Baptist Missions, which provides financial administration, coordination, member care, and accountability for missionaries.
- Train missionaries for the field through the Vision School of Missions and missions internships.
- Encourage and equip missionaries for effective ministry on the field through ongoing training and personal mentoring.
- Develop and grow a vision for world-evangelism through preaching missions conferences and special missions services.
