A Modern Missionary Hero, Bro. Randy Stirewalt
I love to read about missionaries of the past and how God used them. My favourite missionary of all-time, other than Jesus or Paul, was Patrick, commonly referred to as St. Patrick. Another great hero of missions just went to be with the Lord Jesus yesterday. His name is Randy Stirewalt.
I first met Bro. Stirewalt when he came to preach at our home church, Vision Baptist Church, in 2012. He was such a humble, gracious, and passionate man. He went to Kenya nearly 40 years ago and God really blessed his faithfulness, hard work, and vision.
This pastor October, I went on a trip to Kenya, hoping to see him and his ministry. Due to health problems, he had to come back to America, but we were still able to see a few of the hundreds of churches and thousands of people that have come from his ministry.
Bro. Randy is now with the Lord, but his work lives on because it was the Lord’s work. His life is an inspiration to me and I hope it will be to you.
