The dreaded day came. The city of Jerusalem was breached. The nation of Judah fell to the Babylonians.
Of course, this all happened exactly as God had said it would, even though the people and King Zedekiah did not listen.
Jeremiah, God’s prophet, was taken good care of. King Nebuchadrezzar gave special instructions for him. Also, Ebed-melech, the man from Ethiopia who rescued Jeremiah, was promised protection and deliverance because he trusted the Lord.
It is good to know that even when it looks like all is lost God is still in control. He protects those who trust in Him.
This is another great reminder to trust the Lord. Look to Him. Even when it is unpopular and dangerous. Keep trusting the Lord!
