No More Forsaken – Isa 62

It’s hard to imagine how much the nation of Israel has gone through. At the time Isaiah wrote chapter 62, they had experienced a great deal. Since that day, they have suffered even more.

Yet, in this chapter, God promises that no more will they be desolate, forsaken, and slaves. They will shine for all the world to see.

The promises of God to Israel were to result in watchfulness(v.6), prayer (v.6-7) and preparation (v.11-12).

As we consider the coming of God to deliver and establish Israel, we too should be excited to know that Christ is the great Deliverer. He has already spiritually taken away our loneliness, desolation, and shame.

We should be ready, watching, praying, and anticipating what the Lord is going to do.
