Wise and Willing Hearted (Exodus 35)

Exodus 35:5,10 Take ye from among you an offering unto the Lord: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the Lord; gold, and silver, and brass…And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the Lord hath commanded;

God instructed Israel to build a tabernacle. Now as they prepare to build it, God provides the good and the skills necessary. These good and skills come from people whose hearts are stirred up.

Some had willing hearts to bring an offering of all that was needed. Others had wise hearts with the skill to take the raw materials and fashion what was needed. Some gave. Others served. Maybe some did both. And the tabernacle would be built and beautiful because people gave and did what they could.

This is still how God works today, through willing and wise-hearted people who want to give and want to serve. What can we give to the Lord? How can we serve the Lord? May God stir our hearts to want to get involved in His work.
