I read the following quote off of Pastor Austin Gardner’s quote of the day and though I would just write a bit of family news:
“Obedience to the call of Christ nearly always costs everything to two people – the one who is called, and the one who loves that one.” – Oswald Chambers
Teri’s sister, Joy, and her husband, Aaron, just sent us pictures of their new baby boy born on Friday.
He definitely looks very healthy and handsome!
Also, we are real glad that Teri’s parents are going to be able to visit with us in January for two weeks. We are excited about them coming over. It will be great for our children to see their grandparents and for the grandparents to see the grandkids. (O, and I think they will be glad to see Teri and I as well.) The last time they saw Grant, he was just over 1 year old; and they have never seen Darci because she was born after we left the States.
I praise God for a wife who is willing to stay faithful by my side serving the Lord, even though it means being very far from her parents and family. I praise God for parents and realtives who are so supportive of the call God has placed on our lives even though it is hard being apart. I also praise God for how He gives an hundredfold in this life and in the life to come, if we are willing to forsake all and follow him (Mark 10:30)
