January 2023 Update
Encouraging Report from Northern Ireland – This year, it will be ten years since we left Northern Ireland. The work there is rewarding but also very challenging. Pastor James Wilson has been serving at Derry Baptist Fellowship in Derry/Londonderry faithfully since 2013. He recently reported of how God is working in lives for salvation and blessing with increased attendance. Also, a Christian charity that we helped to set up in the UK, Gospel Baptist Mission, was able to sponsor in a new missionary couple to Northern Ireland. We’re so excited for what the Lord is continuing to do there.
Training the Next Generation of Missionaries – Last week, a new semester started at the Our Generation Training Center. We had three new students enroll in classes. This semester, I’m privileged to teach “Church Planting” and “Contemporary Theological Issues.” Teri is teaching “How to Thrive in the Ministry.” Thanks for praying for the fifteen students currently enrolled in classes at the VBM Campus and the thirteen VBM interns currently serving in or preparing to go to Nigeria, South Africa, Ecuador, Mexico, Burkina Faso, Indonesia, and Bolivia. Our prayer is that their preparation might help them determine whether full-time missionary service is God’s will for their lives.
Helping Local Churches Send Missionaries – Another privilege we have at VBM is to help local churches send missionaries worldwide. This month, we have final interviews with missionaries going to Taiwan, Honduras, and Indonesia. What a blessing it is to see God call these couples, bring in their support, and then help them get to the stage of leaving for the field!
Family Update – We feel much more adjusted to our new life and ministry. Our children attend local schools in Dawsonville. Grant is doing a media internship at Vision Baptist Missions this semester as part of his school. Darci has started playing soccer at her school. All of our children are very involved in our home church. And Teri is volunteering every day in the VBM Finance Office.
New Support Address – For those who partner with us financially, please make a note that all support checks should now be sent to the following address: PO Box 647, Dawsonville, GA 30534. God has blessed Vision Baptist Missions with a new location, and along with this blessing comes a new mailing address.
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support of our ministry!
Praise the Lord!! We love you and your familt!
