September Prayer Letter

September 19, 2009

Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,

What a busy but blessed time the last couple of months have been! God has just been pouring out His blessings upon us, and we are so grateful.

It all began in August with our Holiday Bible Clubs (VBS). We had a high of 31 children come to the club in Londonderry and 25 children in Limavady. Following the club, we invited the parents to come on Sunday to see their child graduate. We were blessed with 67 people and 22 first-time visitors that attended the graduation services at both churches!

Also in August, we had a 2-day youth retreat. Fifteen teenagers came to the retreat. We had an incredible time of fellowship, teaching, preaching, and Bible study. And to top it off, two teenagers got saved!

In September, we began Master Clubs during the midweek services, which has proved to be a huge blessing. We have already seen one young man named Matthew make a profession of faith. Between the two churches, we are averaging about 50 people during the midweek service.

Thank you so much for praying for souls to be saved. Since our last letter, we have had 5 people get saved. Please pray for Joel, Alex, Matthew, Gavin, and Emily. We also had Fiona, Brittany, Ethan, and Sophie get baptized and join the church on Sunday, September 13th which was the 2-year anniversary of starting Northwest Baptist Church.

We have nearly finished the new children’s building in Limavady. Also, all of the money that we needed for our chair fund in Londonderry has been either given or promised. Would you please pray about giving toward our building fund that we are starting to enable us to buy more permanent buildings for these churches?

Before we close, we want to give you a brief update on our family. Travis’ mother was with us for three weeks in August, which was a huge help and blessing. Cali is 9 weeks old and is doing very well. She is now nearly 13 pounds. Darci is 2 1/2 years old and is a handful but a real sweetie and “Daddy’s girl.” Grant is 4 1/2 years old and is getting big. He just started Primary 1 (Kindergarten) at a local primary school. Teri is very busy working with the children’s ministry, ministering in music, and discipling the ladies in the church. She is a huge help and an extremely hard worker.

Thank you for all you do. You are such a blessing to us.

Yours for world evangelism,

Travis, Teri, Grant, Darci, and Cali Snode
