June 2022 Prayer Letter

Prayer – May began with a week of prayer at Downham. We enjoyed focusing our attention on the Lord each evening and praying for laborers for London, the United Kingdom, and the world. The church at Colchester has also started meeting over Zoom every Thursday evening to pray. We are grateful to see the Lord answer prayers at both churches.

Exploring Christianity – One way we are seeing the Lord work in Colchester is through a special seven-week Bible study on Tuesday evenings that is designed to help unbelievers explore Christianity. Several unbelievers are attending these studies each week, asking questions, and hopefully coming to the point of placing their faith in Christ. Please pray for these studies.

Missions Weekend – Also, in May, at Downham, we had a missions conference with Tim Palmer from North Cotes College speaking for us. Tim did a great job sharing the work they do to train missionaries to take the gospel around the world. Please pray for the churches here to grow in their vision for and commitment to sending the gospel around the world.

Building Fund – We are grateful for those who continue to pray and give toward the building for Downham Baptist Church. The Lord has provided another $5,591, so we now have $41,591 of the $175,000 goal. If you’d like to donate, please send your offering to Vision Baptist Missions (address below) with the memo “London Building Fund.”

Time of Transition – As our departure from the UK gets closer, please pray for wisdom in all the aspects of transitioning out of the United Kingdom and back to America. We return to America on August 24th to take up the General Director role at VBM full-time. This is not a paid position, so we will continue to live by faith and need missionary support. If you’d like us to come by your church to give an update or to present this new ministry, please get in touch at tsnode@gmail.com or +1 (678) 871-9610.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support!
