Things are going well in the ministry. We had a very good day on Sunday with guest preacher Graham Anderson from Rathfriland Baptist Church. Bro. Anderson came to preach for us for our Harvest Service, which is a special service during which we thank the Lord for the harvest and fellowship together. Following the service, we had a meal together. It was great to have several visitors with us and a new family returning to the church for the second time.
I have been discipling a man named James who has been coming to the church since January. He has been a very active volunteer and huge blessing to our church over the last nine months, but this coming Sunday he is going to officially join the church! We are so thankful for this vote of confidence and for his desire to place his life and influence in our church.
God is opening doors for us to reach out into the local university. Magee Campus is part of Ulster University and has about 4,000 students. The students come from all over the UK, Ireland, and the rest of the world. There are usually a good amount of American and Asian students as well. Our church is located only about a half a mile from the university, so we are in a good position to reach out to the students there. You can read more about the doors God is opening below.
