I am currently in Albania with a team from Vision Baptist Missions. We are surveying the country and helping Benjamin and Patricia Broyles prepare to come here as church-planting missionaries.
I have really enjoyed spending the time with Pastor Austin Gardner, Jeff Bush, Brady Van Winkle, and the Broyles. We have been able to spend several days in Tirana, Albania as well as briefly visit the surrounding countries of Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Kosovo.
This is a very beautiful part of the world, with some lovely weather, people, and scenery. We have met some good Christians and were able to attend a great church on Sunday in Tirana. We have also see many areas that need churches planted and people who need the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Broyles family have just been accepted as missionaries to the Balkans with Vision Baptist Missions. They are beginning deputation soon. They are a fantastic young couple who have been well trained, and I believe will be greatly used in this part of the world. If you are interested in having them present their burden at your church, you can get in touch with them via email.
We have also seen that there are open doors and opportunities for others to come. In order to raise up laborers for this part of the world, we are planning a special ten-day ‘Backpacking Through the Balkans’ Trip next June 6-16. The trip will cover 10 different Balkan countries and is specifically for young men ages 18-25. Instead of simply doing tourism in Europe, this trip will be about giving out gospel literature, seeing the need, and praying for laborers. You can find out more about this trip and other trips here.
Please pray for labourers for the following Balkan countries: Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, & Greece.
