September 2023 Update

UK Trip – At the end of July, I was back in the UK with a missions team. We visited Downham Baptist (London), Headgate Baptist (Colchester Mission), Derry Baptist (Northern Ireland) and also did outreach with a church in Sutton. It was so good to renew fellowship with these churches and to honor Pastor James Wilson of Derry Baptist Fellowship for ten years of faithful pastoral ministry. Please continue to pray for these churches and for more laborers for the United Kingdom and Europe.

Asia Trip – The last two weeks of August, I travelled to Thailand with several others from the VBM stateside team. What a blessing it was to attend the VBM Asia Regional Conference and fellowship with missionaries serving in China, Nepal, Indonesia, Japan, and Taiwan! I also made a quick trip to Taiwan on the way back and visited several VBM missionaries there. Please pray for laborers for the continent of Asia. Nearly 60% of the world’s population lives in Asia!

Students and Interns – The fall semester of the Our Generation Training Center (OGTC) started off strong with several new students and interns. This semester we have the following classes: Introduction to Missions, Personal Evangelism, Pentateuch, Acts, Hermeneutics, Gospels, Eschatology, Philemon to Jude, Spiritual Warfare, Christian Home, and Church Planting & Leader Training. For young people interested in the OGTC, we are offering an Open House on November 15-17.

Train For Missions In Your Church: VBM has started a new training program for anyone with at least five-year’s ministry experience who wants to train for missions while working in their church. Get in touch if you’re interested.

Family Update – It was a busy summer to say the least! In addition to all the travel, we moved house to a more permanent home in Dawsonville, Georgia; Darci and Cali joined Grant working part-time at Chick-Fil-A; and Darci kept up summer “football” (soccer). On top of this, Teri transitioned to a new role in the VBM office (“missionary payables”), and we tried to stay involved in our active home church where I have had the privilege to teach an eight-week series on “Biblical Missions” in the Bible Institute.

God’s Goodness – After a busy season, we want to stop and thank God for His sustaining grace and goodness! We’re so thankful for how faithful He is and for your continued support and prayers!
