December 2023 Update
If the length of time since our last prayer letter (10 weeks!) is any indication, it has been a very busy but blessed season! Here are some updates:
Ministry Travels – Over the past couple of months, we helped with missions conferences at Temple Baptist in Asheville, NC; Bible Baptist in Mattoon, IL; and Bible Baptist in Barre, VT. We were also able to represent at and participate in events at Mansfield Baptist Temple in Mansfield, OH; Whitefield Baptist in Dalton, GA; and Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL. Thank you for praying for God to raise up gospel laborers for the harvest fields of the world.
Training Update – The fall semester of the Our Generation Training Center wraps up this week. Six of the students are finishing their 90 credits of class and will be heading out for their six-month overseas internships. Also, we have two families currently in the ministry who will be completing a six-month missions training program for missions while serving in their local church. Please pray for the Lord to help us as we equip these students and interns for the mission field.
Family Update – God continues to bless our family. Teri serves every week in the VBM office. Grant is enrolled in the Our Generation Training Center, studying missions. Darci is a junior and Cali is a freshman in high school. All our children work part-time jobs at Chick-fil-A. We’re grateful for the opportunities we have to serve in our home church when we’re not traveling. One ministry we’ve been able to start is a Sunday afternoon evangelism ministry. Please pray that we will see people saved, discipled, and trained through this ministry.
End-of-the-Year Giving Project – As we approach the end of 2023, Vision Baptist Missions has a special end-of-the-year giving project. We are looking to repair the foundation, floor, walls, and roof of a section of one of our buildings that will be primarily for training missionaries. This is Phase 2 of the Carey Center Building. We need $175,630 total to complete the project with $36,630 due by January 9, 2024. Would you please pray for this project and consider giving a special end-of-the-year gift?
