Travis Snode Prayer Letter – December 2012

Northwest Baptist Church – Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland

Dear Pastors & Praying Friends,

It has been so encouraging to report into so many of our supporting churches and let them know what God has done in Northern Ireland.  The faithfulness and generosity of so many individuals and churches over the past eleven years continues to amaze us.

In November, we were in nine churches in the Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia area.  I was privileged to preach at churches pastored by several friends from Bible college.  We also participated in the first missions conference at the church my younger brother started in Pittsburgh.

Last week, I was able to preach at the church where I grew up in Mansfield, Ohio.  It was encouraging to see so many Sunday school teachers and people from my childhood still serving God.

We had a nice Thanksgiving time celebrating with my family.  It had been a long time since we had seen many of my relatives.  We also spent some time with my brothers and their families.

At the end of the month, we spent a few days as a family in Washington DC teaching our children about American history and heritage.

Yesterday, we finished a great meeting at Mountain Lake Baptist Church in Oakland, MD.  We were there for their missions emphasis Sunday, and they voted to take us on for support in the service.  Please pray that God will help us to raise an additional 20% of our support while we are home to cover the cost of lost support, inflation, and future ministry needs.

In December, we will be in ten more churches.  We will also spend a couple weeks in Alabama with Teri’s family.

We are very encouraged with how God is using Sam Quinn, James Wilson, and the folks of Northwest Baptist Church in Derry, Northern Ireland.  They had a good men’s conference at the end of November with Pastor Wesley Crawford. Please continue to keep the work in your prayers.

We still have a few openings in our furlough schedule for 2013 if you would like us to come by and present the ministry.

May God richly bless you for all that you do.
